X-Men First Class
I know a lot of you were disappointed with the 2009 movie X-Men Origins, but another X-Men is scheduled to be shown this year entitled X-Men: First Class which focus more on the origin of the mutant team.
X-Men: First Class is set during the 1960's where it will also focus on the relationship between Charles Xavier and Magneto along with the origin of their groups: the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants.
There is still no trailers being released for the movie as of this moment, but there was an official image of the team's costume which resembles the original 1960's costume.
And here are the characters, from left to right:
- Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender)
- Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne)
- Emma Frost (January Jones)
- Azazel (Jason Flemyng)
- Hank McCoy/Beast (Nicholas Hoult)
- Alex Summers/Havok (Lucas Till)
- Angel Salvadore (Zoe Kravitz)
- Raven Darkholme/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence)
- Charles Xavier/Professor X (James McAvoy)
You would notice that only Beast is the only member in the movie that was the original member in the very first X-Men team (the 1960's comics if you were actually reading the X-Men comics).
I still have a mixed reaction for this movie, but let's hope that this would be better than the last movie X-Men movies.
X-Men: First Class will be directed by Matthew Vaughn and produced by Bryan Singer, the movie will be in theaters June 3, 2011

Prepare for The Expendables

Movies with an all-star cast of actors and actresses can be rare nowadays, the last one was Oceans' Thirteen, and that was 2007.
This year, expect to get another all-star treatment, and this time a much bigger action packed movie with Silvester Stallone's The Expendables.
The Expendables is starred by Jason Statham, Jet Li, Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture, Terry Crews and Silvester Stallone (he is also the director of the movie) with cameo appearances by Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Here's the trailer for the movie:
The Expendables will be showing in theaters on August 13 worldwide

Ah the 80's cartoons, if you've been born in the 80's, chances are you probably remember some of the popular 80's toons with their catchy theme songs
From the transforming robots to the patriotic joes to the sword swinging cats
these cartoons have been etched into your memories until now
And now as time goes by, we can see some movies today that are based on some of the popular 80's cartoons
Let's take a look on the 2 popular cartoon series that will be brought into the big screen
Transformers Revenge of The Fallen
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an upcoming science fiction/action film due for release on June 26, 2009. It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons.
GI Joe The Rise of Cobra
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is an upcoming live action of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy franchise, to be released on August 7, 2009. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and written by Stuart Beattie. G.I. Joe features an ensemble cast based on the various characters of the franchise.
The film is an origin story, showing the rise of the Cobra Organization.
From the trailers itself, the movie looks promising, the problem will be how faithful will the movie adaptation be on the cartoon series
Now what next 80's cartoons will they think of turning into a movie?
